Weekly Photo Challenge: Satisfaction

I was on a mission to have a burger on this day.  It had been a long time since I had one.  We were at the California State Fair, and we walked until we found one at Juicy’s!  This week’s photo challenge is SATISFACTION.

Weekly Photo Challenge: Containers

From “Don’t judge a book by its cover” to “Don’t look at the jug, but at what it contains” (an old Rabbinic saying), we’re constantly taught that the contents of things are more important than the vessels, wrappers, and boxes that hold them in place. This week, let’s give outer shells their due and focus our lenses on things that contain other things.  CONTAINERS, this week’s challenge by Ben Huberman.  Read on.

Favorite Asian Bakery

Eastern Bakery

Growing up in San Francisco our parents, family friends and relatives always brought goodies to the house from Eastern Bakery.  It’s been the to-go-place for Asian pastries.  Through the years, we ordered celebratory cakes for special occasions, fruit-filled with whipped cream topping.  So good.  As you can see from the photos the bakery is still there.  A visit into Chinatown one day earlier this year, we stumbled upon the bakery.  I was so excited!  We did not leave without our favorites.
